Balloon care & safety

A little care goes a long way. Use these practical tips to help balloons last longer and keep celebrations safer.

General care tips

Indoors and in Shade: Always store and display your balloons indoors. Keep them away from direct sunlight, which can cause the air inside to expand and burst the balloon.
Avoid Heat Sources: Keep balloons far from heat sources like radiators, hot pipes, fireplaces, and even warm vehicles or garages. High heat can cause them to pop unexpectedly.
Mind the Temperature: Extreme cold can temporarily shrink foil balloons. Don't worry, they will return to their normal size once brought back into a warmer room.
Protect from Hazards: Be mindful of sharp objects, pets, and power lines, which can all cause accidental damage or pops.
Proper Disposal: Once your celebration is over, please dispose of deflated or popped balloons properly in the trash.

Choking Hazard: Adult supervision is absolutely essential, especially for children under eight. Deflated or broken balloons can pose a serious choking and suffocation risk.
Do Not Inhale Helium: Never inhale helium from balloons. While it may seem harmless, it can be extremely dangerous.
Do Not Release: Please do not release balloons into the air.
